The Small and Certified Business Enterprise Development and Assistance Amendment Act of 2014 (“New CBE Law”) became applicable October 1, 2014 making significant amendments to the previous law. The New CBE Law affects all District agencies, departments, offices, boards, commissions, authorities, or other instrumentalities of the District government, as well as Certified Business Enterprises and private developers.

Enclosed is a synopsis summarizing many of the changes made by the New CBE Law. In order to better serve the public, DSLBD is requesting comments. DSLBD will conduct training sessions aimed to provide an overview of the New CBE Law and address your collective comments. As DSLBD is eager to schedule trainings, all comments must be submitted to [email protected] by March 13, 2015.
