The Department of Small and Local Business Development (“DSLBD” or the “Department”), a District of Columbia (the “District,” “D.C.,” or “DC”) Government agency, is excited to announce that it will begin soliciting applications for the FY 25 ReFashion Pitch Competition starting November 18, 2024.
The FY 25 ReFashion Pitch Competition is an opportunity for businesses to pitch a problem or opportunity in the sustainable fashion market with a viable solution. The pitch award will range between $2,500 and $6,000 per winner and will be held during National Small Business Week in May 2025.
This pitch competition encompasses two (2) distinct competition tracks:
- Fashion Empowerment
- Textile Alternatives/Upcycling
DSLBD intends to award approximately six grants, between $2,500 and $6,000, from the $49,500 in total available programmatic funding for FY 25.
