Fiscal Year 2026 DC Main Streets Grant Program North Capitol and Woodley Park Main Streets

The DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD)  is pleased to announce that it will begin accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2026 DC Main Streets Grant Program on August 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

The DC Main Streets Program is a comprehensive economic development initiative designed to support the revitalization of business corridors throughout the District. DSLBD is dedicated to assisting all small businesses in DC to create a thriving economic ecosystem, making the area an attractive, vibrant, and engaging place to live, work, and visit. Through this program, DSLBD supports nearly 4,000 brick-and-mortar retail businesses across the twenty-nine designated DC Main Streets Business Corridors located in all District wards.

Each Grantee of the DC Main Streets Program serves as a front-line support system for small businesses, acting as a liaison between local business owners and the District government. The Grantee's Executive Director, with assistance from the Grantee's Board of Directors, is expected to implement a work plan that involves building relationships with businesses, distributing business subgrants, fostering a sense of place, identity, and community within the Business Corridor, and ensuring the efficient operation of a nonprofit organization that will support the Business Corridor.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM (ET)
