• Removal of litter, graffiti, illegal posters and stickers, weeds, snow, and ice
• Recycling glass, aluminum and plastic items collected from sidewalks and gutters
• Maintenance of street trees through mulching, weeding and watering.
• Landscaping of planters, hanging baskets and tree boxes located in service areas
• Tracking and reporting public space defects via 311

Support of Sustainable DC (SDC) goals

• Recycling service required to support SDC Waste Goal of achieving zero waste by capturing value through recycling
• Street tree mulching increased to support SDC Nature Goal of covering 40 percent of the District with a healthy tree canopy
• Removal of trash and recyclables that may have entered storm-water system
• Utilization of eco-friendly herbicides and ice melt that reduce toxic runoff to support SDC Water Goal to make all District waterways fishable and swimmable
