CBE Contracting Opportunities

CBEconnect Information

The Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) is dedicated to maximizing Certified Business Enterpise (CBE) participation while linking existing CBEs to contracting and procurement opportunities.  CBEconnect is a comprehensive and robust undertaking by DSLBD to provide CBEs a one stop shop for all contracting and procurement needs.

How can my small business procure contracts with The District?

For FY 2016, DSLBD determined that $360M must be spent on CBEs. The District is committed to increasing prime contract awards and subcontract awards to the small business community servicing the region. In an attempt to help foster this economic growth and development district agencies will extend contracting opportunities, up to 50% of their annual expendable budget, to qualified small business enterprises.

Where can my small business find contract procurement guidance and information?

CBEconnect provides CBEs information about Small Business Enterprises (SBE) reporting requirements as well as the SBE goals for district agencies.  Small businesses will also find information about working with contracting officers and guidance on registering as a vendor and how to navigate the DC Supply Schedule Program.  Click the links below to access transparent, timely and relative information that will help your business open the door to new opportunities.

We hope that this forecast will assist you in doing business with the DC government by helping firms identify procurement opportunities early in the acquisition process.
