NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY: Ward 6 DC MAIN STREETS SUPPORT GRANT PROGRAM
This Notice of Funding Availability (“NOFA”), in combination with the corresponding Request for Applications (“RFA”) that will be released once the program application opens, constitutes the full set of instructions to assist applicants with completing eligibility applications for the Fiscal Year (“FY”) Ward 6 District of Columbia (“DC,” “D.C.,” or the “District”) Main Streets (“DCMS”) Support Grant Program.
The DCMS Program, administered by the District’s Department of Small and Local Business Development (“DSLBD” or the “Department”), provides funding and support to non-profits across DC in support of small businesses and place-based economic development. As such, DSLBD is pleased to announce that it will begin soliciting applications for its FY25 Ward 6 DCMS Support Grant Program on March 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).
Through the FY25 Ward 6 DCMS Support Grant, $350,000 in additional funding will be allocated to non-profits supporting businesses, neighbors, and community members along the DCMS Corridors in Ward 6.
Application Opens: March 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
Deadline: April 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. ET
The online application will open on March 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. ET and close on April 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (ET).
NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY: FY25 ROBUST RETAIL GRANT
The Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) is excited to announce that we will accept applications for the 2025 Robust Retail Citywide Grants.
The 2025 Robust Retail Citywide grant(s) support existing DC-based retail businesses in maintaining operations and viability. DSLBD intends to award up to $10,000 per business to approximately 48 businesses from the $480,000 in available funding for the Fiscal Year 2025. As part of the 2025 Robust Retail initiative, DSLBD will support small businesses along the North Capitol Main Street corridor through a targeted grant opportunity. With a total of $90,000 in available funding, DSLBD intends to award up to $10,000 to each of the nine eligible businesses.
This grant will be operated as a reimbursement grant, awarded via lottery to DC retail businesses that meet all eligibility requirements by the final deadline. Businesses that received a Robust Retail Citywide award in FY2024 are not eligible to apply.

DSLBD is pleased to announce that it will begin soliciting applications for its FY25 Deanwood and North Capitol Clean Team Grant Programs.
The District of Columbia's Clean Team Program, managed by the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD), enhances the appearance of commercial districts to attract more foot traffic and boost sales for local businesses. Clean Team operators support the Department of Public Works by providing services such as street cleaning, graffiti and sticker removal, trash collection, and reporting public space issues through DC 311. DSLBD is excited to announce the upcoming solicitation of applications for its FY25 Deanwood and North Capitol Clean Team Grant Programs, beginning on March 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
