Lauren Adkins manages the Business Opportunities Division of the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD).  In that role, she helps small businesses sell their goods and services to DC Government, partner organizations, and the private sector.  Lauren previously managed the Commercial Revitalization Division at DSLBD.  Prior to joining DSLBD, Lauren worked as a consultant to commercial revitalization organizations located within 46 states and several foreign countries.  She specialized in program assessment, strategic planning, leadership development and fundraising.  Lauren is a native of Hot Springs, Arkansas and holds a B.A. in Art and Archaeology from Washington University in St. Louis.  She has lived in Penn Quarter since 1994.
