NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PRELIMINARY FINDING
Re-Registration of The Southwest Business Improvement District
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 19 of the Business Improvement Districts Act of 1996, effective May 29, 1996 (D.C. Law 11-134; D.C. Official Code § 2-1215.18) (“Act”), the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) will hold a public hearing on the re-registration of the Southwest Business Improvement District.
The public hearing will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Suite 850N, 441 4th Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
DSLBD Director Rosemary Suggs-Evans has informed the Southwest Business Improvement District that the filing criteria set forth in D.C. Official Code § 2-1215.18 have been met, and their application is otherwise in conformity with the Act.
The BID application is available for review by the public during normal business hours on weekdays at 420 4th Street, S.W., in the offices of the Southwest Business Improvement District and online HERE.
DSLBD invites the public to testify at the public hearing. Witnesses should bring a copy of their written testimony to the hearing. Additional written statements may be submitted by e-mail to [email protected] or mailed to:
