Certified Business Enterprises seeking subcontracting opportunities are encouraged to apply for this subcontracting opportunity with Forrester Construction as they accept bids for CBE firms to work on their University of District of Columbia New Student Center project. Bids will be due no later than Thursday, October 20 at 12 pm.
The scope of work for this project involves construction of a new 78,000 sf new building with cellar and 3 stories above grade and renovation of 15,300 sf of existing space. Interiors include a cafeteria, student lounges, recreation area, a ballroom, conference space, bookstore and a grand staircase. Exteriors include a green roof, rain garden, geothermal well field and extension of the University Plaza. Work also includes but is not limited to the following: Abatement, demolition, site work, concrete, arch precast, masonry, structural steel, misc and deco metals, carpentry, millwork, wood decking, roofing, metal panels, air barriers, skylights, doors, sunscreens, curtain wall, finishes, Div. 10,11,12 specialties, conveying systems, and MEP.
CBE participation is highly encourage. CBE firms seeking to bid by fax must provide the following to Forrester Construction: a written bid with scope clearly identifying trade, scope, drawings and specifications, addend etc. Written scopes are requested at least two days prior to the deadline.
