Fiscal Year 2025 Request for Applications: DC Main Streets Grant Program (Various Locations)*
The DC Main Streets (“DCMS”) program is a comprehensive economic development program that supports the revitalization of business corridors (“Business Corridors”) in the District of Columbia (“DC,” “D.C.,” or the “District”), particularly District-based brick and mortar small businesses. The DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (“DSLBD”) is soliciting grant applications from eligible non-profit organizations to operate and manage a Main Street (“Main Street”) program during Fiscal Year (“FY”) 2025 (October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025).
Applicants may apply to operate and manage a Main Street in one of the following Business Corridors:
- Ward 2’s Foggy Bottom | West End Main Street
- Ward 4’s Upper Georgia Avenue Main Street
- Ward 4 and 5’s “The Parks” Main Street (Riggs Park and Manor Park)
- Ward 7’s Deanwood Heights Main Street
DSLBD published the initial Notice of Funding Availability (“NOFA”) in the October 18, 2024 edition of the DC Register (www.dcregs.dc.gov).

Notice of Available Funding: ReFashion Pitch Competition
The Department of Small and Local Business Development (“DSLBD” or the “Department”), a District of Columbia (the “District,” “D.C.,” or “DC”) Government agency, is excited to announce that it will begin soliciting applications for the FY 25 ReFashion Pitch Competition starting November 18, 2024.
The FY 25 ReFashion Pitch Competition is an opportunity for businesses to pitch a problem or opportunity in the sustainable fashion market with a viable solution. The pitch award will range between $2,500 and $6,000 per winner and will be held during National Small Business Week in May 2025.
This pitch competition encompasses two (2) distinct competition tracks:
- Fashion Empowerment
- Textile Alternatives/Upcycling
DSLBD intends to award approximately six grants, between $2,500 and $6,000, from the $49,500 in total available programmatic funding for FY 25.
